If something went wrong, it helps a lot to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened.

Common questions

The scan found nothing, but my library is full

Check whether Aloe has full access to your photos: Settings › Aloe Cleaner › Photos should be set to All Photos. With limited access the app only sees the handful of pictures you picked, so it has almost nothing to compare.

Where did my deleted photos go?

To Recently Deleted in the Photos app. iOS keeps them there for 30 days, and you can restore any of them during that time. Storage is freed once they leave that album — either after 30 days or when you empty it yourself.

The freed space is smaller than the app promised

The number shown before deletion is the size of the files you selected. The space actually returned can be slightly smaller, because iOS may keep shared resources — for example when several photos come from one Live Photo or burst.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions on your iPhone, choose Aloe Pro and cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the current period ends. Cancelling during a free trial avoids any charge, as long as you do it at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

I paid, but the app still asks for a subscription

Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID that made the purchase. If it still does not appear, write to us with the date of purchase.

Do my photos get uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything is analysed on the device, and the scan works with no internet connection. See the Privacy Policy for the details.

Can I get back something deleted more than 30 days ago?

No. After 30 days iOS removes it permanently, and neither we nor Apple can recover it. If you keep an iCloud or computer backup made before the deletion, that backup is the only remaining copy.
